Tim Tszyu (23-0) will return to the ring for his first defence of his WBO super welterweight title, live from the Gold Coast.
His opponent for this bout is the current WBC interim champion, Brian Mendoza (22-2), who enters the fight on a three-fight winning streak.
Mendoza will be Tszyu’s most difficult test to date with his formidable punching power with both hands, and has previously demonstrated
his ability to thrive in the underdog role.
Tszyu has rapidly emerged as Australia’s premier boxing attraction and is determined
to continue his journey towards becoming an undisputed world champion.
