The Cazalys Team – walking together for a cause

At Cazalys Cairns, community is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we were proud to take part in the Relay For Life, a heartfelt event uniting the Cairns community in support of those impacted by cancer. As teams walked through the night in solidarity and remembrance, the atmosphere was electric with hope, resilience, and shared purpose.

The Cazalys Team is preparing to lace up their shoes, and hit the track alongside cancer survivors, caregivers, and supporters. The relay wasn’t just about walking—it was about showing that no one faces cancer alone.  The theme for this year is Country, so Cazalys Team name is “Prospectors” – we are excited to decorate our Team Camp and provide some excellent games and entertainment on the day as well.

Supporting the Cause with a Fundraising Raffle

To kick off our fundraising tally in the lead-up to the event, we have a raffle, with tickets on sale now. Next time you are in the club, see one of our friendly reception staff and purchase a ticket – the prize pack is valued at over $1000 and tickets are only $2 or 3 for $5.

Without the support from our members, we would not be able to reach our target, last year the Cazalys Team was the second highest fundraiser in the Cairns Community.
