A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout for the vacant title between former champion Jiří Procházka (also the inaugural Rizin Light Heavyweight Champion) and Carlos Ulberg is scheduled to headline the event, as current two-time champion Alex Pereira (also former UFC Middleweight Champion, former Glory Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion) will vacate the title in order to challenge for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Prochazka’s brief reign in 2022 ended due to injury, but he has since secured stoppage wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree. Ulberg has surged to contender status with nine straight wins, including notable victories over Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes.
