The Grand Opening of the completion of Cazalys Solar Shade Carpark was on Monday 20th November.
Surrounded by members of the club, representatives of the design and construction of the carpark and dignitatories from Cazalys Board, the General Manager of Cazalys, Jason Wale was thrilled to cut the ribbon to deem this structure open to the public.
Cazalys is serious about reducing their carbon footprint, so they have teamed up with a Cairns Company Portagrid Electrical Pty Ltd to install the solar array, which provides the best commercial solution, which is also good for the community and the environment.
The solar array features a bifacial solar panel, where solar can be produced from both sides of a bifacial module, which increases energy generation. These bifacial panels are more durable because both sides are UV resistant.
Cazalys is excited to be forerunners in this new bifacial sustainable energy and bringing this technology to Cairns, to promote further adoption within the community. We are constantly introducing measures to protect our environment and reduce our costs. Cazalys cares and supports local and regional businesses in the construction of this project.
